Born in 1974 in Skopje, North Macedonia, Milan Andov is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the emotional and psychological dimensions of human existence. Educated at the Secondary School of Applied Arts “Lazar Lichenoski” and later graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, he developed a distinctive artistic language rooted in expressive portraiture and profound human observation.
Throughout his career, Andov has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions across North Macedonia and internationally, including Berlin, London, Yerevan, and Abu Dhabi. His artistic achievements have been recognized through numerous awards, including the prestigious Golden Osten Award and the Lazar Lichenoski Award.
His paintings invite viewers into a space of reflection, confronting themes of identity, vulnerability, transformation, and the fragility of the human condition.

Milan Andov (b. 1974, Skopje, North Macedonia) is a contemporary visual artist known for his expressive paintings and psychologically charged portraits.
He graduated from the Secondary School of Applied Arts “Lazar Lichenoski” in Skopje, specializing in Graphic Arts and Graphic Techniques. He later earned his degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, studying Graphic Techniques and Graphic Design under Professor Dimche Nikolov.
During his studies, Andov demonstrated exceptional talent in drawing and painting, receiving multiple awards and scholarships for outstanding academic achievement.
Over the course of his career, he has held solo exhibitions in Skopje, Berlin, Yerevan, and Abu Dhabi, while also participating in numerous international group exhibitions, art colonies, and cultural events. His work has been recognized through several notable awards, including the Dragutin Avramovski-Gute Award, the Lazar Lichenoski Award, the Young Artist Award by Osten, and the Golden Osten Award.
Today, Milan Andov lives and works in Skopje, North Macedonia, continuing to develop a body of work that explores the complexity, vulnerability, and resilience of contemporary humanity.
